Online Slide Show of Dear Jane’s Fall Retreat 2013’s Show & Tell

Rosemary Youngs, who was just at the Fall Dear Jane Retreat in Shipshewana, Indiana, took 110 photos of  the show and tell  quilts from the  retreat and put them into a Smilebox presentation.  She has given me permission to post the address so you can enjoy seeing them.   Very nice slide show, Rosemary! You have a chance to buy one of the  contest quilts made for the nonprofit Quilt Alliance. Some  are made by prize-winning star quilters; they are affordable, starting at  $60. 

This year celebrates the Alliance’s 20th anniversary. The annual small quilt auction is one of the Quilt Alliance’s most important fundraisers, supporting projects like  The Quilt Index.

Annual Quilt Alliance Online Auction began Monday, November 11, 2013

The first week of the Quilt Alliance’s TWENTY auction began on Monday, November 11 at 9pm Eastern. All quilts are 20″ x 20″, and the quilts will be offered through December 9 in four one-week auctions on eBay. Here are some quilts included in Week One of the auction:

A River of Quilts: Quilted Images of the Sacramento River

  Pacific International Quilt Festival 2013 featured a special exhibit entitled A River of Quilts.  The Quilters’ Sew-Ciety of Redding, California, had a challenge to  create a landscape quilts of specific locations along the Sacramento River.
