Conscience of the Human Spirit: The Life of Nelson Mandela;   there are fifty-nine  quilts in this traveling exhibit made by United States and South Africa quilt artists; originally shown in July 2014 at the international Quilt Conference Africa in Johannesburg.  Circulated by the Michigan State University Museum, these  pieces reflect the ways in which Nelson Mandela touched individual lives and changed a nation.

The exhibit is at Kentucky Museum, Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, until January 31, 2016.
