Artist’s Own is pleased to exhibit nineteen contemporary quilts of the Indiana members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA). These beautiful quilts were created in response to Marie Webster’s (1859-1956) ideals.

“A Joy Forever: Marie Webster Quilts” exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art runs through January.

And Still We Rise: African American Story Quilts

African American Story Quilt Exhibition Opens at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

 An exhibition of contemporary story quilts illustrating significant moments in African American history will be on view in the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV) in Winchester, Virginia,   through December 31, 2016.

And Still We Rise: African American Story Quilts narrates four centuries of African American history through the display of sixty-nine story quilts. All the textiles were created by an international group of artists in the Women of Color Quilters Network.
