“Uncovered: the Ken Burns Collection” The International Quilt Study Center & Museum, Lincoln, Nebraska, January 19 – May 13, 2018

January 12, 2018

Uncovered: the Ken Burns Collection
will be at The International Quilt Study Center & Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska, January 19 through May 13, 2018.

Ken Burns loves antique American quilts. Displayed alongside eloquent, anecdotal thoughts about quilts, collecting, and art and authenticity, Burns’ quilts function as his films do; they spark dialogue and remind people—he hopes—of their shared humanity.

Exhibited are twenty-eight quilts from the collection of about seventy-five quilts that Burns has acquired since the mid-seventies.
